Psychometrics
Objectively measuring psychological constructs within the broader domains of cognition, emotion, and behaviour.
Psychometric assessments are typically administered in order to further inform a particular clinical, psychodiagnostic, or other psychological inquiry. They specifically entail objectively measuring specific psychological constructs within the broader domains of cognition, emotion, and behaviour.
A well-structured psychometric assessment will employ a battery of psychological screens and tests, which may include both objective and subjective tests.
As part of standard clinical practice, I recommend that clinical assessments include a basic psychometric assessment battery and that psychodiagnostic assessments include a more detailed psychometric assessment battery.
I only provide psychometric assessments for clinical purposes. I do not provide psychometric assessments for legal, educational, or corporate purposes – such services should be provided by either a forensic psychologist, educational psychologist or an industrial psychologist, respectively.
